Guide to Pressure Washing Block Paving
Once you add some block paving to your driveway or patio, you will need to know the best way to clean it. Here’s our quick guide.
How To Use A Pressure Washer
The best way to clean your block paving is to use a pressure washer. If the dirt on your block paving is particularly stubborn, then it’s best to use a washer with a high pressure. To start with, try to blast off as much dirt as possible. If there is still some left on the blocks, you should add a detergent to the water and spray it on with a low pressure. The pressure washer should have a patio cleaner that you can scrub the blocks with.
How Often To Pressure-Wash Block Paving
Make sure you don’t use a pressure washer on your block paving too often, as it could lead to some damage. For instance, all the high-pressure water could end up blasting sand from between the blocks. Every six months should be enough to help you stay on top of any dirt and stains.
What Equipment Is Needed
You will of course need a pressure washer! As previously mentioned, most of these kinds of washers will come with a patio-cleaning attachment that you should also use to scrub the blocks. Make sure that you also have a good detergent handy so that you can tackle even the most stubborn of stains.
If you stick to these points, you should find that cleaning your block paving is easy!
